Armando Oliver Suinaga,1969, graduated as an Architect from the National University in 2000 where he worked in two design-research teams; from 1992 to 1994 in the Federal Electoral Court Building Project built in 1994. Later in UNAM's TCM workshop in the Lakes Project (1998-1999) for Texcoco Lake in Mexico City. From 2002 to 2003 in FDU in a formal proposal for the recovery of Texcoco Lake.
Office 247 obtained the first prize in the 2009 dawntown competition for a metromover station in the Bicentennial Park in Miami. As a member and team leader he obtained in 2005 an honorary mention, in the international anonymous contest for the museum and memorial for the Tsunami victims in Khao Lak, Thailand. As an independent professional obtained the third place in the international competition for Prague’s Castle Pheasantry (Architectural Review 01-1998).
As an academic he has tought in UNAM, TEC-CCM and UIA in Mexico City, and twice a jury in Harvard GSD (1998 2003). From 2009 to 2010 collaborated in research-design and academic design studios in Melbourne, Australia. His academic work has been exposed in the Rotterdam, Sao Paulo and Venice biennials.
His research and professional work has been published in: Arquitectura, Arquine, Trazos, Architekt (CzR), the Architectural Review, and Landscape Architecture Australia, as well as in the book “Landscape Urbanism, A Manual for the Machinic Landscape”, published by the Architectural Association in London.
His projects have been exhibited in the Art & Idea gallery in Mexico City, and in the AA in London. The OK Kindergarten was exhibited in 2005 in the gallery of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in New York in the "Mexico City Dialogues" Exhibition. Two of his most recent projects have been included in the 2011 "Breaking Borders: New Latin American Architecture" exhibition at the Pratt Institute in New York.
In December 2009 he presented his work in Landmark, at the Bergen Kunsthall, Norway invited by the Bergen Architecture Institute. In 2010 he achieved national professional certification through the CONARC and international APEC Architect registry in Mexico with recognition to his ten years of professional experience. In 2010 he obtained a grant to develop a landscape urbanism project in Mexico City and became a member of the National System of Art Creators SNCA 2011-2013.
Office twentyfoursevenº obtained a mention in the 2015 second Bienal of Mexico City in the interior design category. In november of the same year Armando Oliver Suinaga participated with a presentation on his work at the 2015 International Landscape Industry Association de China conference in Suzhou, China.
